Программа

Full-arch implant-supported rehabilitation requires more than surgical expertise. It demands precise planning, a thorough understanding of biomechanics, and seamless prosthetic execution. The key to successful treatment lies in viewing the entire treatment process as one integrated system.

During Andrea Agnini’s course, you will explore the complete All-on-X rehabilitation workflow — from diagnosis and digital treatment planning to surgery, immediate loading, provisionalization, and definitive prosthetic rehabilitation.

You will learn to make informed clinical decisions, plan implant positions according to the final prosthetic design, assess the requirements for immediate loading, and select the most appropriate approach at every stage of treatment. Special attention will be given to digital workflows, accurate implant position registration, prosthetic fit and fixation, and complication prevention.

Theory, clinical case discussions, and hands-on training will help you connect the surgical and prosthetic phases into one coherent, step-by-step protocol — from the initial treatment plan to the definitive restoration.

This is an opportunity to move beyond individual surgical procedures and master a comprehensive approach to All-on-X rehabilitation, where every decision — from initial diagnosis to definitive prosthetic restoration — serves one goal: achieving the most predictable and stable long-term treatment outcomes possible.

Program

Theory (May 21, 2027):

1. Diagnosis and Treatment Planning: Where Everything Starts

  • Indications and patient selection criteria for full-arch implant-supported rehabilitation.

  • Assessment of clinical, anatomical, functional, and esthetic risk factors.

  • Clinical decision-making: preserving compromised teeth versus proceeding with full-arch implant-supported rehabilitation.

  • Assessment of restorative space, vertical dimension of occlusion (VDO), smile line, and prosthetic transition line.

  • Development of a comprehensive treatment plan based on individual patient needs, clinical findings, and long-term prognosis.

2. Prosthetically Driven Digital Planning

  • Integration of intraoral scans, CBCT data, and facial photographs into a comprehensive digital diagnostic workflow.

  • Principles of prosthetically driven implant positioning.

  • Determination of implant number, distribution, and angulation based on the planned prosthetic restoration.

  • Assessment of the available restorative space.

  • Indications for bone reduction and its impact on the final prosthetic outcome.

  • Comparison of guided and conventional surgical approaches, including their advantages and limitations.

  • Transfer of digital treatment planning into the surgical and prosthetic phases of treatment.

3. Surgical Management of the All-on-X Patient

  • Surgical sequence for full-arch implant-supported rehabilitation.

  • Relevant anatomical landmarks and surgical risk factors.

  • Extraction protocols and principles of mucoperiosteal flap design.

  • Bone reduction strategies.

  • Principles of implant positioning and angulation.

  • Primary stability requirements for dental implants.

  • Selection of straight and angled multi-unit abutments (MUAs).

  • Prevention of common intraoperative complications.

4. Immediate Loading: From Surgery to the Provisional Prosthesis

  • Clinical and biomechanical requirements for immediate loading.

  • Relationship between primary implant stability, implant distribution, and prosthetic design.

  • Methods of implant position registration: conventional impressions, intraoral scanning, and photogrammetry.

  • Principles of passive fit and methods for verifying prosthetic accuracy.

  • Approaches to immediate provisionalization.

  • Digital workflows for provisional prosthesis fabrication.

  • Chairside conversion and delivery of the provisional prosthesis.

  • Potential complications associated with immediate loading and provisional prostheses.

5. Definitive Prosthetic Management

  • Transition from immediate provisionalization to definitive prosthetic rehabilitation.

  • Selection of restorative materials and prosthetic designs for full-arch implant-supported restorations.

  • Biomechanical principles of framework design.

  • Selection of prosthetic connections.

  • Occlusal planning and adjustment.

  • Passive fit verification and prosthetic accuracy assessment protocols.

  • Maintenance of implant-supported prosthetic restorations.

  • Factors influencing long-term biological and mechanical stability.

6. Complications, Failures, and Clinical Decision-Making

  • Common biological, mechanical, and prosthetic complications in All-on-X rehabilitation.

  • Risk factors associated with implant failure, prosthetic complications, and peri-implantitis.

  • A systematic approach to troubleshooting complex clinical situations.

  • Evaluation of alternative treatment strategies through clinical case discussions.

  • Evidence-based clinical reasoning.

  • Strategies to improve treatment predictability and achieve long-term outcomes.

Hands-on Workshop (May 22, 2027):

PART 1. Digital Treatment Planning

  • Each participant will work on a real clinical case presented the day before.

PART 2. Surgical Hands-On

Practical training on a jaw model:

  • Full-arch implant positioning.

  • Guided osteotomy and implant placement.

  • Management of implant angulation.

  • Placement of straight and angled multi-unit abutments (MUAs).

  • Assessment of restorative space.

  • Understanding the relationship between implant position, abutment selection, and prosthetic design.

  • Surgical sequence for immediate loading.

PART 3. Immediate Prosthetic Workflow

  • Implant-level and multi-unit abutment (MUA)-level data acquisition.

  • Digital impression workflow.

  • Verification of implant position.

  • Connection and fixation of the provisional prosthesis.

  • Principles of pick-up and chairside conversion of the provisional prosthesis.
