Module 1: Biomechanics of the first level (May 27-29, 2022)

– Introduction to the course;

– Basic of static mechanics. Force. Moments. Center of resistance. Vector mathematics;

– Practical part: Movements. Center of rotation. Equivalent Force Systems;

– Practical part: How to calculate the needed force system for a specific dental movement.

Day 2

– Force Systems: Active/Passive Units - Frictional/Non Frictional – Statical Determination – Consistency;

– Practical part: Equilibrium - Anchorage Needs Estimation;

– Occlusal Anchorage Management;

– Occlusogram Introduction.

Day 3

– Occlusogram 2D.

Module 2: Biomechanics of the second level (May 31 - June 2, 2022)

– Statically determinate mechanics and cantilevers. Advanced: сonfiguration of the cantilevers;

– Exercise in designing statically determinate mechanics;

– Typodont: passive segments and lingual arches.

Day 2

– Two vector mechanics;

– Statically indeterminate systems: The Six Geometries;

– V Bends and Alpha beta springs.

Day 3

– Typodont: cantilevers;

– Typodont: V Bends and Alpha Beta Springs.

Module 3: Biomechanics of the third level (September 24-26, 2022)

Day 1

– Alignment Loops;

– TPA and Lingual Arches.

Day 2

– Deep Bite Correction;

– Open Bite Correction;

– Torque and Uprighting.

Day 3

– Typodont: Rectangular Loops;

– Typodont: TPA and L. Arches Activations.

Module 4: Biomechanics of the fourth level (September 28-30, 2022)

– Space Closure: loops and statically determinate mechanics;

– Asymmetric mechanics;

– TADs biomechanics.

Day 2

– Mandibular repositioning;

– Mandibular repositioning cases;

– Mini Typodont: T-loops;

– Mini Typodont: space closure.
