Pioneer in development of orthodontic temporary anchorage devices (TADs), having placed and studied thousands of microimplants since early 1990s. Developed surgical protocols, biomechanical principles, and clinical applications for TADs that became standard worldwide.

 

International authority on skeletal anchorage having trained hundreds of orthodontists from around the world through hands-on courses and fellowship programs at Kyungpook National University. Active member of E.H. Angle Society of Orthodontists. Former editor and reviewer for multiple international orthodontic journals. Delivered keynote lectures at major orthodontic congresses worldwide on microimplant biomechanics, clinical applications in complex cases, lingual orthodontics, and evidence-based treatment protocols.
