Продолжая обучение в аспирантуре, доктор Руссо получила сертификат по орофациальным болям в Университете Кентукки в Лексингтоне, США.
В 2004 году она получила степень доктора философии в Национальном университете Каподистрии в Афинах, Греция. Основала частную практику в Афинах, ограничиваясь ортопедической стоматологией и орофациальными болями.
