В 1992 году получил степень магистра наук по пародонтологии.
Является автором более 30 статей, опубликованных в рецензируемых журналах, соавтором книги «Регенеративные технологии в стоматологии», где он написал главу о регенерации пародонта.
Действительный член Итальянской академии эстетической стоматологии, Европейского общества косметической стоматологии, Сертифицированный член Итальянского общества пародонтологии,
Международный член Американской академии пародонтологии.
Участник финансирования и вице-президент академии Bone Biomaterials и Beyond.
С 2000 года является профессором в магистратуре по пародонтологии в Римском университете Ла Сапиенца с 2010 года, а также в магистратуре по имплантологии и протезированию в университете Пизы.
