Более 35 лет клинического и академического опыта в регенеративной пародонтологии и имплантологии. Открыл практику в Италии в 1993 году после завершения исследовательских и преподавательских должностей в США. Специалист по управлению внутрикостными дефектами, поражениями фуркаций и покрытием рецессий с использованием техник направленной тканевой регенерации и биоматериалов. Признан на международном уровне одним из мировых лидеров в области костной регенерации.
Член-основатель и вице-президент Bone Biomaterials and Beyond Academy, продвигающей подходы к пародонтальной и костной регенерации, основанные на доказательствах. Профессор магистерской программы по пародонтологии в Sapienza University of Rome с 2000 года. Профессор магистерской программы по имплантологии и протезированию в University of Pisa с 2010 года. Координатор постдипломного курса по пародонтальной и имплантологической хирургии в University of Padua (1995-1996).
