Formerly served as Assistant Professor and coordinator of research projects at the TMD Clinic, Department of Maxillofacial Surgery, University of Padova (2006-2016). International lecturer having taught at over 50 major conferences worldwide. Editor of the textbook "Current Concepts on Temporomandibular Disorders" (Quintessence Publishing, 2010), featuring contributions from 45 world-renowned experts.

Author of over 300 publications in Medline-indexed journals with Scopus H-index of 40. Active member of the European Academy of Orofacial Pain and Dysfunction (EAOPD).
