Early Implant placement in the Esthetic Zone

Management of type II sockets in the esthetic zone is challenging. Many treatment modalities have been proposed. Unlike rushed treatments, the conservative approach of early placement after 8 weeks following tooth extraction proposed by the ITI remains the standard in my humble opinion with the least complications and predictable outcome. This video shows a step-by-step approach for managing a case of two central incisors that had multiple failed root canal treatments. The patient presented with chronic fistulous tracts oozing pus and was looking for a permanent solution for his ongoing problem.
