La etapa de finalizaciónen ortodoncia se planifica desde el inicio. La importancia del diagnóstico juega un papel crucial. No podemos planificar la finalización de igual manera en los diferentes tipos de maloclusiones. La estética, la proporcionalidad y la simetría son aspectos para tomar en cuenta en esta etapa de finalización. Parte de las metas estéticas en los tratamiento de ortodoncia están en:

  • La relación del plano oclusal con la línea bipupilar.
  • Línea de la sonrisa.
  • Línea media dental en relación con la línea media facial.
  • Contorno de la sonrisa.

Analizamos la macro estética y la micro estética, pero para corregir los pequeños detalles tenemos que ir resolviéndolos desde lo macro. El objetivo es resolver progresivamente los problemas que nos trazamos desde el inicio en el plan de tratamiento.
