Para hablar del crecimiento facial de el patrón esquelético de clase II se debe conocer la Influencia de la extensión y flexión de la base craneal. En esta clase analizaremos como se origina el crecimiento a predominio horizontal, como en los pacientes de clase II se produce una extensión de la base de cráneo proyectando el maxilar hacia adelante. Revisaremos la importancia de Sincondrosis esfenooccipital y se da explicación a los conceptos de:
- Rotación anterior del esfenoides
- Rotación posterior del esfenoides.
Describiremos como se puede realizar la re-dirección del crecimiento del patrón esquelético de clase II usando energía biomecánica. Indicaremos cual es la Influencia en el paciente de clase II del crecimiento individual de mandíbula y maxila.
