Existen guías que debemos respetar en una oclusión ideal como la guía incisiva, la guía canina, la relación molar. Esto fue bien descrito por el Dr. Eduard Angle y posterior a eso uno de los grandes científicos el Dr. Andrews que describió las seis llave de la oclusión.
