– The technique of successful shallow pulpotomy and bonding the fractured fragment to the original tooth with composite are discussed minutely;

2. Crown-root fracture:
– Orthodontic extrusion versus surgical extrusion;

3. Root fracture:
– Treatment planning and healing modalities in root fracture,
– The wound healing,
– The efficacy of diagnosis using CBCT;

4.Subluxation:
– Pulp healing during puberty,
– Bleaching technique of discolored crowns of endodontically treated teeth;

5. Lateral luxation:
– The importance of on-site diagnosis and repositioning is discussed;

6. Intrusion:
– Treatment planning of intrusive luxation will be discussed according to the IADT guideline,
– The differentiation between intrusive luxation and lateral luxation;

7. Avulsion:
– Immediate replantation and delayed,

Specialist in dental traumatology and autotransplantation of teeth. Private practice in Nagoya, Japan, exclusively dedicated to trauma management and tooth transplantation since 1981.

 

Over 48 years of clinical experience with extensive involvement in treating traumatized teeth and performing autotransplantation procedures. Developed surgical protocols and wound healing strategies for successful autotransplantation achieving high long-term survival rates. Pioneer in intentional replantation techniques and management of complex trauma cases including crown-root fractures, root fractures, luxation injuries, and avulsions.

 

Past President of the International Association of Dental Traumatology (IADT, 2009-2010). Visiting Lecturer at Osaka University and Loma Linda University, California, since 1998. Clinical Professor at Tohoku University School of Dentistry (2015-2018). Adjunctive Assistant Professor at Western University, USA (certified 2012). International lecturer teaching dental trauma management and autotransplantation techniques across Asia, Americas, and Europe for over 25 years.

 

DDS from Osaka University School of Dentistry, Japan (1976). PhD in Dental Materials from Kyoto University, Japan (1980). Author of two definitive textbooks: "Dental Trauma" (1998) and "Autotransplantation of Teeth" (2000), both published in multiple languages including English and used as standard references worldwide. Published numerous peer-reviewed articles on dental traumatology, autotransplantation, wound healing, and treatment protocols for complicated trauma cases. Conducts international hands-on courses on autotransplantation at his private training center in Nagoya.
